[edit]Should this article be moved to EasyCredit-Stadion? kalaha 15:10, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
Name(s) of the stadium
[edit]This stadium originally was called Städtisches Stadion ("Urban Stadium") from 1928 until 1991. From 1991 to 2006 the name was Frankenstadion. 2006 to June, 30th 2012 its name was easyCredit-Stadion. At the moment there is no new sponsor, so the stadium is currently called Stadion Nürnberg (Stadium Nuremberg). Should be added into the article. "Frankenstadion" is definity the wrong name for the stadium! (93.104.22.104 (talk) 01:47, 18 July 2012 (UTC))
The article should be renamed to the new name Grundig-Stadion (german) or Grundig Stadium (english). Due to reference. --H7 (talk) 10:46, 25 February 2013 (UTC)
Name
[edit]Grundig Stadion is the new name of the stadion - neutral will be Stadion Nürnberg and not Frankenstadion. --Mef.ellingen (talk) 19:15, 23 September 2014 (UTC)
- We don't use sponsored names where there is a commonly-known alternative (ask at WT:FOOTY if you are not familiar with this). Frankenstadion is entirely neutral (I have no idea why you would think otherwise?). If you want to move it, please start a WP:RM. Number 57 21:35, 23 September 2014 (UTC)

Frankenstadion → Stadion Nürnberg – The new official name of the stadium. – Secret Agent Julio (talk) 05:28, 1 August 2016 (UTC) --This page has been moved several times, relisting, probably needs feedback — Andy W. (talk · ctb) 22:41, 13 August 2016 (UTC)
- To add to this, the stadium, formerly known as the "Grundig-Stadion", has now been renamed to "Stadion Nürnberg", as the city of Nuremberg was unable to find a sponsor ([1], [2], [3], [4]). The article currently resides at "Frankenstadion" due to the fact that it was the last sponsor-free name of the stadium (which is preferred). However, now that it has a new official name without a sponsor, it should be moved to "Stadion Nürnberg". Secret Agent Julio (talk) 09:40, 1 August 2016 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anarchyte (work | talk) 08:50, 1 August 2016 (UTC)
- Support Per the part of the discussion at WT:FOOTY#WWK Arena, the non-sponsored name used in reliable sources is Stadion Nürnberg. Joseph2302 20:51, 14 August 2016 (UTC)
- Support per discussion. --SuperJew (talk) 21:23, 14 August 2016 (UTC)
